USO DESERT STORM EDUCATION FUND

PURPOSE: To provide finacncial assistance
for the academic or vocational education of spouses and children of military
personnel who died in the Persian Gulf War.

ELIGIBILITY: This program is open to spouses
and children of armed service personnel killed, either through accidental
causes or in combat, during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
Department of Defense guidelines will be used to determine those service
personnel who were taking part in either of these operations at the time
of their deaths. Neither financial need nor academic achievement
will be factors in allocating support from the fund.

FINANCIAL DATA: It is the purpose of the
fund to provide as much financial support as possible to all eligible persons.
To this end, USO will distribute all of the fund to the eligible persons
in equal amounts.

NUMBER AWARDED: All eligible survivors will recieve funding.
